Family-Placed Obituary

RICHARD F. MORGAN, Sr. 76 years old, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2012, with his beloved family by his side. Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 13, 1936, he was the youngest son of Bert and Helen Morgan. Along with his family, Richard became a permanent resident of West Palm Beach in 1957 and for the past ten years he spent his summers in Blairsville, GA. A renowned photographer, he and his father were the owners of Bert & Richard Morgan Studios. He was co-founder of Ballet Arts (Ballet Florida) and he finished his working career with the Kravis Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Janet; his daughter, Donna Putzig (Kurt) of West Palm Beach; his sons, Richard, Jr. (Carlene) of Macedon, NY, Ronald of West Palm Beach, and Robert (Sharon) of Coconut Creek, FL; six grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor, Alexander, Christopher, Austin, Alyssa and a great-grandson, Kody. Also surviving is his brother, Bernard, Jr. (Nancy) of Huntsville, AL; his sister, Joan Arsenault of North Palm Beach; his sister-in-law, Mary Hart of Stroudsburg, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 19, at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL HOME, West Palm Beach, FL. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 20, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Private inurnment services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to either Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL, 33407 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org. Dear Mrs. Morgan, Ricky, Donna, Ronnie and Robbie,

I have so many wonderful memories of Mr. Morgan and times spent at the Morgan home in the Northwood neighborhood. I always felt welcome and loved at the Morgan home.

I am very sorry for your loss. Mr. Morgan was a wonderful man and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Dear Janet, Donna and Family;

I have already expressed my condolences to you privately but wanted to post a special tribute to Richard publicly. Knowing all of you for so many years, I feel as though a member of my extended family is now gone but will be remembered for his gentle ways and that soft sweet voice of his.

You all were blessed with a loving husband and father and know that his legacy will live long beyond his life here on earth. May the coming days be supported with love and God's grace.
