Paul Acquisto Obituary

Papa Paul left us on August 7, 2010 to join the Pearly Gates Golf and Bowling Tour.

Papa received many awards during his lifetime, most notably: Grandfather-of-the-Decade for three decades running, as awarded by his grandchildren Christopher (Shelly) Smith and Celina Smith, both of New Mexico, Jamie (Sraven) Steele Sharma of California, Jared Anderson of Iowa, Kalyn (Tim) Steele Gereg and Blake Sytten of California; Randy Gill of Texas; and 7 Great Grandchildren; Father-of-the Year, for over 50 years by his children, John (Lory) Steele of Texas, James (Jody) Steele of California, and Janet Anderson of Iowa; and Best-Husband-in-the Universe, by his wife, Audrey Acquisto of Magalia.

Paul entered the Navy on his 17th birthday and served for 3 years in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Papa always worked as hard as he played "retiring" more than once. He worked for IBM and Texaco and retired from Department of Water and Power, and Northrop Corporation. His favorite career was long haul trucking throughout the United States.

Upon retirement Papa enjoyed activities in numerous service organizations, travel, golf, and bowling, and kept busy trying to keep Mom from shopping.

We will gather to celebrate Papa's life on September 25, 2010, at 11:00 AM, at the Elks Lodge #2026 on Clark Road in Paradise, California.
