Mary Gilmore Obituary

MARY JEAN GILMORE Mary Jean Gilmore, a resident of Riverside, CA for 60 years, passed away October 30, 2010 due to complications of lymphoma. She was 85. Mary was born May 25, 1925 in Colorado Springs, CO. She graduated from Colorado Springs high school in 1943. Mary worked as a civil service employee for the Air Force in Colorado Springs and at March Air Force Base. She was a member of the Letter Carriers Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered at the March Air Force Base Air Museum. A devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed her family, gardening, cooking, music, her dogs and "DWTS". Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary Benware and nephews, Douglas Burks of Colorado and Geoff Burks of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene F. Gilmore. A visitation will be held Monday, November, 8, 2010, 10:30am at Arlington Mortuary followed by a funeral ceremony at 11:30am. The graveside service will be held at 1:30pm at the Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, (800) 227-2345.
