Dearest Kathy, my sweet niece, you were always such a dear person to everyone you touched. My prayers are with you and with all the family you left behind, especially Tyce who was so very supportive to you until the very end. You were lucky to have found each other, and I know you realized that. May God bless you and all your family. You have a special place in my heart, and I will always smile when I think of you. I miss you very much. May peace be with you now in Heaven. Love you forever.

Dear Kathy, I am so glad I got to know you throughout the years. You have been such an inspiration to many including me. You fought hard to try to get better and I was amazed to see you kept your spirit up and had a positive attitude. I will miss seeing you at Glenn and Stephanie's for all the good times. I know you will be there in spirit. Please keep my mom and John Brady company until I get there. It has been a hard year to see you and so many of our family members endure such pain. May peace be with you.

Kathy, I cherished our friendship, but you always knew that. We were, from the day we met in high school instant friends, and as the years went by we became more than friends, we were family. We had a special sisterhood that I will always miss. We finished each other's sentences, confided our deepest secrets and sadness’s and found ourselves saying “ I know exactly how you feel… A LOT! We were always there for each other and every day I will pick up the phone to call you and realize that you won’t be there to answer. You were such a wonderful, peaceful presence for me, always knowing the right thing to say. Thank you for being a wonderful Aunt to my boys and a second Wifey to Glenn. We will miss you more than you will ever know. I know that you are up in heaven saving a spot for me.....

Love you for always,
Steph

Kathy, I just want you to know that these past 2 years you inspired me in a way that no other person will ever match. Your courage, your beautiful determination, the love you made us all stop to appreciate and of course, your gorgeous bald head which was your medal of honor for the fight. Every time I saw you I wanted to talk to you for hours and every time I left you I wanted to move back home. You are the best friend I will ever have. I send these words out to you, but like no other, you know now what is in our hearts. I love you forever. See you in my dreams. xxxooo

To my best friend Kathy:

God saw you getting tired and a
cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
and whispered "Come to me".
With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away, And though
we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard-working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to
us, He only takes the best.

Kathy, you were a strong force in my young life. I thank you for showing me what a loving family could be like by inviting me into your own family. I think about the beach house, and it makes my heart sing with joy. I relive those memories in my dreams. I know that you now know what is in my heart, I just wished I could have said it to you in person. I pray that Tyce, little Tyce, Randy, and all others who held you close in their hearts find peace. I hope that God can guide me through this tough time, as he has before with my sister. I am not sure when my tears will cease, but I know they will turn into tears of joy when we are all reunited again. I love you more than anyone could know. My heart breaks at your family's loss. Thank you for everything you gave me. You will always be locked away in a special place in my heart.

To Kathy...From Luci Saylor
I am standing on the sea shore
a ship spreads her white sails to the morning breeze
and starts for the ocean.

I stand watching her
until she fades on the horizon
and someone at my side says,
"she's gone."

Gone where?
The loss of sight is in me
not in her.

Just at the moment when someone says,
"she's gone"
there are others who are watching her coming.

Other voices take up the glad shout,
"here she comes"
and that is dying.

May the hands that formed the earth touch your body and heal it...May the breath that moved over the water fill your soul...May the heart that sacrificed to save you, surround your heart with comfort...May knowing that you are in the hands of an all powerful...all loving God...bring you peace.

I love you Kathy and will miss you forever...Luci Saylor

Kathy you were my best friend for 20 years. From the beginning of this battle you exemplified grace and dignity. My mind is flooded with memories. From the first time I saw you across the street and telling Jeff, hey our new neighbor is pregnant too! Little did I know then how close we would become. I remember us sitting on the curb watching our kids ride their bikes and playing, swimming in your pool, going to the beach, sixth grade science camp with Tycie and Brooke, and so many more. You were the ying to my yang and you taught me so much. Patience and how to let things go. I am so thankful I was able to fulfill my promise to you. I miss you so much my friend but I know that you are saving a chair on the beach for me. We laughed so much when we were together. I have been truly blessed to have had you in my life and you will forever hold a part of my heart. Until we meet again my friend. I Love You!

Kathy, you were such a strong and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, daughter-in-law and (young!)grandmother. You had so many friends who loved you dearly. You will be missed by everyone whose life you touched even if only for a moment. We remember the times you hosted Halloween pumpkin carving/painting for all the neighborhood kids, including ours. And it was so fitting that when our daughter was leaving for Boot Camp, there you were, inviting her over for pumpkin carving. What wonderful memories you have left in the minds of all who met you, and loved you, and will miss you. Rest now. You have returned to your creator, and we will see you again when it is our turn.

Dearest Kathy. I will always have the most treasured memories of the good times we spent together, all the laughs and even a few tears. I hate that you had to suffer that dreadful disease, but you stood up to it and lived every moment. You were amazing. Now you are completely at peace and unfettered in heaven. For that, I rejoice, but in my selfishness, I grieve the loss of a beautiful person and a good friend. My life is better for having known you. Love and hugs, Lisa

My sister Kathy, You were put on this earth for a reason and taken away from us for a reason. I will never understand why you were taken away from us way too early. I know for one thing, you are in a much better place now free from the pain and suffering that you had to endure. You were such an inspiration to me that I will never forget. I know you will be looking down on us and having a good laugh, which is not hard to do if you have been around our family. I am going to miss you will all my heart but I know one day we will meet again.

My dearest Kathy,
God knows how much I will miss you and wish you were still here. I know you are no longer in pain and in a better place now. I would always say how I just want my sister back, but I know it is time for you to go and do greater things. You were such an angle on earth and now you are an angle in heaven looking down on us. You will always be in my heart and I know I will see you again some day. You can rest now, I love you...................Love, your little sister, Kathleen.
