Gertrude Maitland Obituary

GERTRUDE MAITLAND Gertrude Maitland age 75 of Bloomington, CA passed away unexpectedly December 4th, 2010. She was born in Lynn, MA on January 31st, 1935. She was the youngest daughter of Amedee and Florence Guay. She was the loving wife of James Maitland Sr. who preceded her in death. She is survived by 2 sons James Maitland Jr. of Rialto, CA and Lt. Colonel (Ret) Edward Maitland of Colorado Springs, CO, and 2 daughters Donna Colby and Susan Maitland both of Bloomington, CA. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren, and a sister Dorothy Ahlin of Melrose, MA. She was a very loving Wife, Mother and Nana. She was also an active member of the Fontana Breakfast Lions Club and the community. She will be greatly missed. Services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary 11715 Cedar Ave., Bloomington, CA. The viewing will be on Wednesday, December 8th, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The service will be on Thursday, December 9th, 2010 at 9 a.m. at the Mortuary. In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Fund.
