Chris Hamann Obituary

CHRIS J. HAMANN Born in Buffalo, New York on March 16, 1944, she passed away on October 3, 2010. Chris was 66 years old and had a stroke and lung cancer. She is survived by Fred, her husband for 43 years; two sons, Brad and Dr. Kevin Hamann MD; her beloved sister, Arlene Pazderski; her brother-in-law, Dan; her four grandchildren, Jillian, Kenny, Victoria and Andrew and daughter-in-laws, Ivonne Velado, Dr. Kendal Hamann MD; as well as nephew, Brian Pazderski, his wife Wendy and their two children, Nick and Jack; and her niece, Dr. Noreen Pazderski DVM. Chris lived in Beaumont for 31 years. Chris received a Bachelor\'s of Arts in Speech Therapy from the University of Buffalo and a Master\'s in Counseling from LaVerne University. She taught for 31 years the last 25 as a Resource Specialist in Banning at Central School. She volunteered many hours as a Cub Scout leader, Boy Scout board member, School Site Council member and as an officer with the California Retired Teachers Association (CalRTA). Chris retired in 2005 and enjoyed gardening, shopping for gifts for her grandchildren and visiting them. Her last words to her husband Fred were, "I love you truly." In lieu of flowers donations to CalRTA Division 82 Scholarship Fund may be sent to Tracy Wells, Treasurer, 1877 W. Williams St., Banning, CA 92220 or calling her at (951) 849-7472. Visitation will be on Friday, October 8th at Weaver Mortuary in Beaumont from 4-8pm with the praying of the rosary at 7pm. A Mass celebrating Chris\'s life will be on Saturday, October 9th at 10:30am at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, 1234 Palm Avenue in Beaumont, followed by burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Beaumont.
