Dear Irene & Family: Thank you for the support and care which you have given John. Irene, you had six years in which John needed your care after his heart attack in McMinnville, OR and stroke on his return to Menifee,CA. Jack was a good baseball player who played for Creighton Prep and CYO baseball for St Wenceslaus Catholic Church when they won the state championship and Jack got the winning hit. Jack was honored this summer for being one of the first to play baseball in 1949 at Rosenblatt Stadium--this is the last season for Rosenblatt which will be replaced by a new stadium in downtown Omaha as the new home of the College World Series. After Jack graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, he worked for the Army Engineers in Omaha, NE and spent some of his time with the Army Engineers working on the Garrison dam in North Dakota. We are thankful that we were able to spend time in September with Jack and reminisce about our days together and talk sports. Ken & Margaret
