Joe was our dear family friend for over 50 years. He was a terrific person with many talents -- a union organizer, a "bones" musician and an Americana collector with a keen eye for historical, and unusual antiques. In his travels, he would find treasures and bring them to our shop in Belmont Shores. He gave a special performance playing the bones at my folks 50th wedding anniversary. We will miss Joe and he will be in our hearts forever.

Larry and his Family

There is a time for everything,
And a season for every activity under heaven:
A time to be born and a time to die
A time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a time to heal,
A time to tear down and a time to build,
A time to weep and a time to laugh,
A time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
A time to embrace and a time to refrain,
A time to search and a time to give up,
A time to keep and a time to throw away,
A time to tear and a time to mend,
A time to be silent and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate,
A time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

I treasure my memories of Joe while he lived here in Denver; he so generously helped us find our way when we moved here. His great wit and adventurous spirit made him always fun to be with.

To all of the McGee family:

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I remember the day I first met Joe at Dennis and Sherrie's wedding (1972). I was so impressed that you guys all knew "Fred Astaire!" :) He was a wonderful man and will be missed terribly. God bless you all.
