Marian Asper Obituary

MARIAN ASPER On Tuesday, October 25, our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Marian Asper, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family. She was born August 4, 1928 in Union City, PA to Karl and Otylie Sedmina. She went to college at the University of New Mexico to study Radiology. While in New Mexico, she met the love of her life, Art Asper. Marian and Art began their great adventure on June 23, 1956. During their 54 years together, they lived in Virginia, Arizona, and California. In 1969, they moved to San Jacinto, CA where Marian and Art purchased Tri City Furniture. Even though she had no formal training in accounting, Marian helped keep the business fiscally sound for 36 years by monitoring, auditing, and controlling the finances of the business. In 2005, Marian and Art retired. She spent the last years of her life doing the things she loved. Marian enjoyed crocheting, canning tomatoes, gardening, and camping. Most of all, Marian loved having family events. She would plan and prepare all of the food. She enjoyed watching her family interact as she sat back with Art and held hands. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Arthur; her daughter Karen and her husband Marvin Jeglin; her son Alan and his wife Diane; and her daughter Heather and her husband Ken Swanson. She left behind the following grandchildren and their families: Marvin Jeglin II (Naureen Jahangir), Alan Jeglin (Kim), Ariel Jeglin (Alex Copado), Elisa Jeglin (AJ West), Rhiannon Jeglin, Aaron Jeglin, Lilith Jeglin, Maxen Jeglin, Andrew Asper (Tori Sander), Leanne Asper, Ronan Swanson, Nolan Swanson, Lester Zook, and Ronnie Bussell. She had 2 great grandchildren; Arabella Jeglin and Daric Jeglin. A family memorial was held on October 27. The family suggests donations in Marian\'s name be made to The American Cancer Society. Be at peace, Mom! You will always be loved
