Theresa Spalliero Obituary

THERESA SPALLIERO 85, died on October 26, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. Theresa Mae (DeAngelis) Spalliero was born in Oak Park, IL, on May 1, 1926. Theresa was raised in Melrose Park, IL, attended Melrose Park Public School from first grade through eighth grade and graduated from Proviso Township High School in Maywood, IL in 1944. She worked as a transcriber and secretary. She was married to Vito Spalliero from May 7, 1949 until his death in April 2000. Theresa and her husband Vito moved to Southern California (Orange and Hemet) and resided there for 60 years. When Vito passed away, Theresa moved to Des Moines, IA to be near her daughter, Dominica. Theresa leaves her beloved children, Dominica (Greg) Lindaman, David (Mary) Spalliero, Patricia (Dennis) Rutkoski and Fleming (Albert) March; brother, Vincent (Lois) DeAngelis; sister, Frances Pope; 13 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vito. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Rosary, on Sunday, October 30, at the Murrieta Valley Funeral Home, 24651 Washington Avenue, Murrieta, CA, 92562. 951-696-0626 Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, at the Murrieta Valley Funeral Home with burial following in Wildomar Cemetery, CA.

Aunt Theresa, I am sorry that we were not able to see each other more. I will always remember growing up with you and Uncle Vito. When we were able to get together I always felt closer to my dad, thanks for that. God Bless you.
