Elizabeth Mattfield Obituary
Services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 5:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Open Bible Church, 1610 N.E. Chemawa Rd., Keizer, Ore.
Beth was born to Wayne and Virginia Reeve in Leveland, Texas on June 3, 1956. She spent her childhood in Texas and Kansas before moving with her family to Kenai. She graduated from Kenai Central High School in 1974, with honors. She married Donald Saindon (deceased) June 24,1971, and had one daughter. In 1979 she married Kevin Mattfield (deceased). They had five children together. They moved to Salem in 1987, where she lived until her death of heart failure. Beth was a longtime employee of the Oregon State Department of Transportation.
Beth walked the life of a Godly woman. She was gracious, selfless and generous to all. She was best known for her love of cooking and baking for others. She also loved decorating for the Holidays and crafting. She had a heart to serve God all the time.
She was preceded in death by her father Wayne, brother Andrew and nephew Josh Reeve.
She is survived by her mother Virginia (Roaring Springs, Texas); brothers Michael (Soldotna), Randy (Roaring Springs, Texas), Steve (LaPorte, Texas); children, Carrie Jordan (Larry) of Spokane, Wash., Brian Mattfield (Char Wertz), Angie Millard (Charles), Aaron Mattfield, James Mattfield (Valerie), Jefferey Mattfield (Jennifer Villanueva) all of Salem, Ore.; grandchildren, Zackery, Andreas, JeanLuke, Joel, Tristan, Chianne, Grace, Cody, Ramona and Michael; and great-granddaughter, Sophia.
Condolences can be sent to the children at 5201 9th Court S.E., Salem, OR 97306.

Mom, You were the best mother ever. You always took care of us. You always made people feel welcomed. You were a people pleaser so much that while you where in major pain you still served and made people food. I pray that I can be as welcoming as you. I love you so much and I will think of you everyday. I will miss doing our craft fairs and holiday celebrations. I thank God that He gave me you. I will see you soon. Beth, you been a great mom a loving wife and when you had company you always made them feel at home. Every time you knew I was coming to vist you always made my special desert. Thank you so much for being there for my brother when he passed away I know you are in the hands of the our heavenly father. Standing next to my brother well beth don't give out to many of your recipes up there until we meet again. We love you and miss you Rodney.

Beth, I am happy for you, knowing your in heaven with kevin and the lord. But we will surely miss you. You were so strong and so jolly. The girls trips will never be the same without you. As Heaven rejoices with yet another dear saint's arrival, we are left here undone and hearts aching. The sting is lessened by our assurance that Beth is in the very presence of God and, if given a choice, would chose to continue to remain, as it is the very thing she longed for! We love you Beth and will see you on the other side some day!

Beth, You were a very solid, loving person. I love the light in your eyes and love in your laugh. Our womanly-bonding scrapbooking weekends will not be the same without your caring acts and funny stories. You are so loved by many. Beth, You gave me two very special things that I carry along in life. "Dynamite comes in small packages" and your chocolate cake recipe. You were such a blessing to every member of our family. Beth we had some great times growing up and it was such fun reconnecting the last few years .I am having a difficult time with your loss but know God has the plan .I already miss tour gentle ways and quiet spirit but you could always make us laugh remembering the funny stories of our times together..
