John Leonard "Jack" Itzoe

John "Jack" Leonard Itzoe, 72, husband of Teri (Friedman) Itzoe, passed away at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill on Monday, December 5, 2011. A funeral liturgy will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, December 9, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic (Historic) Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave, New Freedom, PA., 17349. Interment will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 7 – 9 p.m., on Thursday at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom with a rosary service beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Jack was from New Freedom and resided in Camp Hill with his wife Teri. He was born on November 9, 1939 in York to the late Leonard and Veronica (Adams) Itzoe. Jack served in the National Guard in the late 1960's. He retired after 27 years from Beech-Nut Candies where he worked as a salesman in both PA and MD. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Jack was a past president of the former New Freedom Jaycees. He loved the Baltimore Orioles and earlier in his life managed and played for local baseball teams.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his step-children Ann Chadwell and her husband Ron of Camp Hill and John Grossman of Wilmington, DE; step-grandchildren Ben, Alex and Jake Chadwell; brother Joel Itzoe and his wife Sandy of New Freedom and sister Vivienne Shewell and her husband Richard of Sykesville, MD and sister-in-law TyLisa Itzoe of Towson, MD. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his brother Phil Itzoe.
