William Tucker Obituary

William Grant Tucker

1971-2014

William Grant Tucker, 42, passed away of natural causes June 1, 2014 in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Grant was born November 2, 1971 in Pensacola, FL.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Kenneth Tucker of Brewton, AL, grandfather, William Jackson Childs of Pensacola, FL and grandparents, Willie and Maxine Tucker of Grove Hill, AL.

He is survived by the love of his life, his daughter, Jennifer "Jenny" Anne Tucker Frechette. He is also survived by his mother, Anne Gardner Frechette and her husband, Paul Armand Frechette of Perdido Key. Other surviving family and friends include his grandmother, Mary Letitia "Tish" Childs; aunts, Peggy Woolverton (Bill), Mary Letitia "Tish" Beyts (Daniel), Adelene Taylor, Victoria Childs Kirk, Susan Childs and uncle Walter Thomas Gardner III. He has a stepbrother, Mikell Frechette and a stepsister Missy Frechette Courts. His cousins that loved him dearly include, Alexis Gardner, Letty Beyts, Amanda Clayton, and Bryce Clayton. Special people that touched his life in the most caring way are Danny and Glenda Fleming ,their son Keith Fleming of Brewton, AL, The Ed Leigh McMillan family, Karen Tillman of Developmental Services and Lacresia Goodwin of Gifted Hands 4 Gifted People of Fort Walton Beach, FL.

There were 3 things that guaranteed a smile from Grant: Jenny, fishing and hunting in that order! Jenny was his world. He would light up when she was around. She said, "Grant graced us with enough love to last a lifetime". When visiting Anne, Paul, and Jenny on Perdido Key, he would spend many hours fishing or throwing a cast net off the dock. He was very lucky to have a second family in Brewton, AL. Danny and his son Keith would take Grant fishing and hunting every year for over 31 years. Grant was at peace on the water and in the woods. Now he is at peace with God.

In lieu of flowers, his family has asked that donations be made to the Center for Independent Living of Northwest Florida, 3600 North Pace Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32505 or National Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance www.ntsa.org.

I met Grant when he was just a teenager and he won my heart with one of his many loves, a lab named Sonny. We shared a love of animals and I will miss running into him and laughing when he always asked about my dogs and my family. He never forgot and I will never forget Grant.
