I recall many fond and vivid memories of working with Jim in various capacities with the 361st Civil Affairs Brigade. Jim was a fine leader and great to work for and with. Everyone who knew him will miss him.

Getting to spend the last 4 months with my father every day has meant more to me than anything else in this world. Yes, I lived with him most of my life, but I really got to know him more intimately these past months, and I am so grateful to God for allowing me that precious, unforgetable time.

I promise to do my best, Mac, in fulfilling your last dying request to your children! You were the very best DAD a girl could have ever prayed for! I love you and miss you so much it hurts, but I know you are healthy and happy now, running around with your family and friends who went before you...and yes, the most important one of all...Jesus, your Savior! I love you and will see you soon.

Known as "Mac" by his friends and "Paw Paw" by his grandkids. We will never forget him and his love for his family.

His son, Jim, has lost his most cherished confidant and friend. You will be truly missed by him.

Your "little dudes" miss you too.

We know you are in a better place but this place was better with you in it!

Love always, Amy

May God guide each of you through this tragic time. Please keep one thing in mind...Mr. McCargo loved each one of his immediate family dearly and never wanted to be a burden...he also loved all of God's children (his extended family). He touch so many lives, mine included as did each of the family. As one of his nurses , while at the rehab center; he will be greatly missed. God Bless each of you.
