James "J.Z." Enterkin

James Z. "J.Z." Enterkin, 76, of Milton, went to meet his Savior, on Saturday, October 26, 2013, after a short battle with cancer. J.Z. was born in Panama City, Florida and had lived all of his life in the Northwest Florida area. He worked and retired as an automotive mechanic. J.Z. loved to go camping and fishing with his wife and family. In his younger years he built race cars and raced them at Five Flags Speedway. He was a member of the Harold Baptist Church.

J.Z. is preceded in death by his parents Jim Enterkin and Pearl Idell Ward Enterkin; six sisters and a brother. He is the last of eight siblings.

J.Z. is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Maud Oma Enterkin; six children, Donald Ray Enterkin, SR., J.Z. (Lori) Enterkin, Jr, Shannon Enterkin, Cheryl Ann (Robert) Olson, Hazel Idell (William) Pittman, and Alisa Enterkin; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, a half-brother Richard Burton and a half -sister Marie Creel.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the Lewis Funeral Home in Milton with Brother Patrick Salters officiating. Burial will follow in the Harold Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, prior to services.
