ADAM WRIGHT Obituary

WRIGHT
ADAM M.

Age 21, died in the early morning hours of January 30, 2017. His sudden and unanticipated death was a cause of deep shock and heartache for his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11th at the Paoli Presbyterian Church, 225 S. Valley Rd., Paoli, PA. Visitation begins at 9:30 with a Service at 11 A.M. This will be followed by a lunch/reception at the Waynesborough Country Club. There will be a Memorial Celebration on the Dartmouth campus at a later date.
During his too-short life, Adam accomplished and succeeded at many remarkable things. He enjoyed the act of learning and discovering which made him a natural student at Dartmouth College. His love of this world was shown in his innate ability to master new languages and his desire to explore new places. He was fluent in French and Spanish, studying Japanese and proficient in Chinese. Adam spent his Winter 2015 term at Dartmouth in their Paris program and in the summer of 2014 Adam was a legislative intern to a Chilean senator. He moved with ease from one culture to another, but what people will remember most about him was his ready smile, his kindness toward people and animals, his ease with affection and ability to make those around him feel loved. At 6'6", Adam was looked up to, both literally and figuratively.
Adam, Conestoga High School '13, was looking forward to graduating from Dartmouth College in the spring of 2017 where he majored in Government. He had secured a prestigious position at an international consulting company in NYC after graduation. Adam was a member of the Beta Alpha Omega fraternity and was President of the International Business Council at the college as well as a Dickey International Fellow. His grandfather taught History at Dartmouth and was Dartmouth's 16th President; his father, Jim, attended the Tuck School of Business and his brother, Zack, proudly graduated in 2015.
Adam will be profoundly missed by his parents, James (Jim) and Carreen Wright of Berwyn, PA, and his brother Zachary, who is with the Teach for America program in Philadelphia. Adam is mourned by his grandparents, James and Susan DeBevoise Wright, of Hanover, NH, Joan Smith, of New Haven, CT, and Tom and Sass Dodd of Charlestown, RI. His aunts and uncles and many cousins will miss him more than words will convey.
In lieu of flowers friends might direct a donation to the Adam Wright '17 Memorial Fund at Dartmouth College. Gifts can be sent to 6066 Development Office, Dartmouth College, Hanover NH 03755.
