JOANNE McGUIGAN Obituary
JOANNE MARIE (nee Cunn-ingham) McGuigan, 73, passed away on Monday February 20, 2012 in the company of her family. Born in 1938, JoAnne was the daughter of the late Richard and Alice Cunningham and loving wife for the past 55 years to Dr. Donald F. McGuigan. JoAnne was always inspired by her belief in a just and loving God, leading a life of service to the poor and disenfranchised through her extensive volunteer work and as a Family Therapist. JoAnne's life centered on her faith, family and her many lifelong friends. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. Besides her husband, JoAnne is survived by 6 children: Mary Jo (W. Thompson), Karen (John), Donald, Kathleen (Joseph), Mark (William) and Lianne (Thomas). Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 6 nieces and nephews along with a sister; Gail Maletta (Francis) and her brother-in-law John (Nancy). Relatives and friends may call on Saturday Feb. 25, 2012 at the Daylesford Abbey; 220 S. Valley Rd., Paoli, PA. From 9:30 to 11:15 A.M. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:30A.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in JoAnne's honor to the Bethesda Project (http://www.bethesdaproject.org/;) 1630 S. St., Phila., PA 19146 or Neighborhood Hospice; 400 E. For all of the McGuigan family, we offer our deepest sympathy. Joanne will be greatly missed; she was a wonderful lady, wife and Mother. We will keep her in our hearts and prayers but we know that she at peace, and with God. Our prayers go out to the family and you are also in our hearts as we send our condolences to you in this time of sorrow!
