ALAN STEVEN, September 22, 2012, of Bala Cynwyd, PA. Husband of Sara (nee Rogovin). Father of David (Shara) Witkin and Patricia Witkin. Brother of the late Rhoda Roblin. Grandfather of Dana and Jonathan. Relatives and friends are invited to Services Monday September 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM at JOSEPH LEVINE AND SON MEMORIAL CHAPELS (WEST), 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall PA. The family will return to the late residence and respectfully requests that contributions in his memory be made to the Abramson Cancer Center, C/O of The University of Pennsylvania, 3535 Market Street, Suite #750, Philadelphia, PA 19104 or to the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, 3925 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.

My condolences to you and your family, David. In my mind, you and I are still in 7th grade, competing in Latin class to be the last student standing and our fathers are still young men. Indeed, we are older than they were then. Our time here is so short! May you find comfort in the many memories you have created.

Having been at the Franklin Institue for the past 18 years as a volunteer, I am deeply saddened by the news. As a cancer survivor myself, we always had a close understanding of what life was all about. I will miss him very much. Harry

The Franklin Institute considered Alan part of our family. He will be greatly missed and remembered with fond memories. Our hearts go out to the entire family, especially his beloved wife, Sara, his children and grandchildren- who he adored.

Sara, David and Patty, we are so, so, so sorry. Alan was a wonderful human being with whom we shared so many laughs, We regret that we will not be there tomorrow as we will be in New York for a funeral. Our thoughts are with you. Judy and Stuart Ebby
