Having been at the Franklin Institue for the past 18 years as a volunteer, I am deeply saddened by the news. As a cancer survivor myself, we always had a close understanding of what life was all about. I will miss him very much. Harry

The Franklin Institute considered Alan part of our family. He will be greatly missed and remembered with fond memories. Our hearts go out to the entire family, especially his beloved wife, Sara, his children and grandchildren- who he adored.
