ALBERT J. SAUNDERS on March 3, 2012 of Mt. Airy. A retired Postal Inspector. Loving husband of Theresa (nee DaLuz). Devoted father of Felicia, Albert, Paul, Stephanie. Also survived by his 8 grandchildren, 5 great grand-children. His sister's Dorothy and Eleanor.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing and Funeral Saturday 10 to 10:45 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, 144 E. Mt. Airy Ave., Phila. Pa. 19119 . Funeral Mass 11 A.M. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations in Albert's name can be made to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd., Suite 150, Blue Bell, Pa. 19422. Condolences:

I've thought about Al so many times in the past years and always hoped he would be with all of us forever because he was such a very great man to have known. Al taught me martial arts years ago at Philadelphia Indoor Pistol range in Philly and I always held great respect for him!! I just now found his obituary and want to send my sincerest condolences to his family. Al will always be in my prayers.

Dear Theresa and Family,
I am sooo saddened to hear that Sensei Saunders has passed. He has been on my mind so much since the beginning of this year and I wanted soo badly to see him. I had no idea he was ill. I pray that God will wrap His loving arms around the family and lift you up and give you strength. Al was one of the most powerful teachers that I was ever blessed to sit underneath. He impacted my life in such a major way and I will miss him dearly. I love you Al, your legacy WILL continue...oots!!

Memories are timeless...I still have and wear the beaded anklet Mr. Sauders made for me when I was a teen. Al was our Tai Chi instructor at Holy Redeemer for many years. We felt like he and his family were our friends.
