JOEL SNYDER Obituary
JOEL M., MD, 73, of Penn Valley, died Wednesday August 14, 2013. Beloved husband of 46 years to Margie (nee Riff), loving father of Scott and Jason (Steffie), and brother to Dr. Allan. Dr. Snyder dedicated his time to his many loyal patients for over 42 years. His care for his patients and unwavering love for his family gave him both great strength and complete contentment. Grave-side Services will be at 1 P.M. on Sunday August 18, 2013 at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. Contributions may be made in Joel's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Ass. or the Assn. of Developmental Dis-abilities. Arrangements by

Thank you everyone for your kind words.
There is not a day that goes by that I'm not thinking of my Dad and my best friend. He will continue to live in my heart and soul forever. I love him more than words can describe and I know that he felt the same about his family. I remember as a little kid going with him on house calls and being so proud that my Dad was a doctor. He dedicated his life to helping others and was loved by his patients.
Our greatest memories were going fishing and boating on the Scotty "J" during the summer time, watching and playing sports, talking about the economy, exploring nature and much more. My Dad and I had such a close relationship and feel so lucky that I got to tell him almost everyday that I love him. I continue to tell him that I love him each morning when I get up, during the day and when I go to bed at night.
I love you Dad, forever and ever and ever more!

I am saddened by the news of the death of Dr. Snyder, as for so many others, he was my doctor from 1989 until he retired. We often fought about my treatment, but we ultimately agreed that I need medical care either with him or a specialist. I never once had a problem getting an appointment with him, nor did he ever refuse to see me in an emergency. He was knowledgable and caring. I truly miss hin being available at a moment's notice for me and my companion.

I was so sorry and surprised to hear of the death of Dr. Snyder. He was my doctor for many years and when I returned from my national conventions, I would always have an appoinment with him the very next week. There was never a time that I needed him, during the week or on weekends that he was never there. He even made home visits to me when I could not get into his office. He will truly be missed.

There are no words, just plain sadness from the loss of Dr. Snyder. I feel your pain. I will miss him, his words of wisdom. The way he always was there for me. He treated me like family. I never met Dr. Snyder. I wish that I had. I know that he was a good and decent man. I am friends with his son Jason who is a good friend. My condolences go to Dr. Snyder's family at this time. They are in my thoughts and prayers.
