JOSEPH DUFFEY Obituary
FR. JOSEPH A., O.S.A., died November 16, 2012. He was a member of the St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery Com-munity, Villanova, Pa. He was the son of the late Anna Callahan and Joseph Duffey and had two sisters. Beside his Religious Brothers he is survived by several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 7:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 28th, in the Church of St. Thomas of Villanova Campus Church. Clergy, religious, relatives and friends may visit after 6:00 P.M. Interment will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday Novem-ber 29th in the Augustinian plot at Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the Augustinian Community of which Fr. Duffey was a beloved member wishes contributions to be made to the Care of Sick and Elderly Augustinians Fund, c/o Provincial Offices, 214 Ashwood Rd, P.O. Box 340, Villanova, Pa. 19085-0340.

Dear Father Duffey, Friend and advisor, Beloved pastor of Our Mother Of Good Counsel in Bryn Mawr. He will be remembered by all of the Morgan Family. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Father Duffey arrived at Saint Rita's School as our pastor in 1968. The entire school was filled with excitement as we prepared to meet & welcome him. We practiced many songs for a special assembly to honor him. The song that he enjoyed most was "If I Had A Hammer." Our class of 1969 was so proud, since we were Father Duffey's first graduating class. He will always be remembered as a wise/kind/wonderful priest. He was a dear friend to my uncle, Father Francis J. Fittipaldi, O.S.A. May he and my Uncle Frank rest in peace with our Lord. My condolences to the Duffey family.

A beloved friend of our family.
Fr. Duffey married and baptized so many of us..he was such a kind soul and a wonderful person to have a conversation with be it spiritual or sports-Fr. Duffey was a man for all season and he is deeply missed. Our 4 year son to whom Fr. Baptized asked "when are we picking up Fr. Duffey for Thanksgiving"-our holidays will not be the same without him. God has a great man with him!
