We always looked forward to a gathering with Dick and Ginny. Dick's recollection of fishing adventures, coal mining episodes, as well as stories from growing up and retiring to NE PA confirmed his ability to enjoy life!

Our thoughts are with Ginny and the family. We will miss seeing Dick row down the lake in his "hemlock Barque". He was a good neighbor.

We were fortunate to know Dick as our neighbor at Ganoga Lake. He always struck us as a kind and gentle soul, who felt and pondered things deeply. Blessings and peace to Ginny and their family.

Back in the late 60's, Dick and I were best pals. One night we went to The Main Point to listen to Jim Kweskin and his Jug Band. They played Ellington's Mood Indigo, essentially off key and Dick and I concluded they had the audacity to intentionally parody the great Ellington masterpiece. During a break, Dick and I went up to congratulate Kweskin on his artistic daring. He didn't know what we were talking about. The Jug Band had unintentionally butchered that classic .So Dick and I mumbled some embarrassed apology. It was funny ONLY in retrospect. Tom Quay

I remember Dick from college days. He was pleasantly rambunctious and fun-loving. As we grew older, there were many serious, soulful, and almost philosophical conversations. His views of life, family and work were focused on finding joy.

Jack and I spent time with Ginny and Dick in recent years. There was one time that stands out for me. The four of us met for dinner in Wilkes Barre at a club that Dick loved, in a city that held many good memories for him. It was so enjoyable to share that with him. His enthusiasms were infectious as was his good humor.

We have so many fond memories of Dick. My husband and I knew him in his retirement, in the beautiful Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania. We loved his stories about the Wilkes Barre area, where he spent his youth. His enthusiasm for the natural beauty and history of the area was inspiring. But he also brought sophistication to experiences with wine and food, opera and politics, that we found very sympatico. Mostly, we remember his infectious good humor and his flamboyant style, a successful lawyer and executive who knew how to have fun. Kathy and Jerry Arcuri
