Susie Q.-you were toasted, thought of and memorialized often in the past year. I haven't forgotten , more importantly, you left a mark on my life that will shine forever. I can't forget your sardonic sense of humor, unconditional trust of some- despite my doubts, your child like innocence at times, kindness and love of animals and children, compassion for others, your smutty romance novels that never got a chance to be published but thankfully you let me read, your beautiful handiwork in needlepoint that I was privileged to admire, your DELICIOUS Whiskey balls :) at Christmas baking time, your fondness for those disgustingly sweet drinks at the Cheesecake Factory, our silly times celebrating birthdays at the Manyunk Diner- which we were robbed of a year ago,the way you let your"nephew" Jack lick your face and jump on you to show his love for Aunt Susie every time he saw you. These are just a few points of light you created in the Universe. I was blessed to have you in my life, but somehow I feel short changed. Many of those who loved you feel the same I am sure. You fought a good fight, rest now dear friend.

Having fun and being silly at Christmas time; good times and lasting memories that we enjoyed every year. I will continue to hold those memories dear.

Thinking of you my friend and missing you even more so, as the 1st year anniversary of your passing approaches. I still can't believe that you aren't with me anymore. I'm painfully reminded of that sad fact whenever I reach for the phone to call you, and then I remember that you're not at the other end anymore. But, I know that you are in heaven watching over us and protecting us. Thank you. Love - Laurie, Lee, Ana and Tom

Brother Robert R. Wilsbach, FSC
St. Mary's Hall

Dear Fran, Jill and members of the Accetta family:

I was saddened to learn of the death of your dear daughter and sister Susan Edythe Accetta. At times such as these, words are unable to carry the full message of comfort and consolation which we want them to bear, but they are all we have. Having experienced the death of my father in 1995, I am aware of the deep emotions which accompany such a loss. Be sure of continued remembrance of her in my prayers and those of all the Brothers here at St. Mary's Hall. I was privileged to sing for her funeral Mass.

May the Lord continue to hold you and all your family in the hollow of his hand and may you find his comforting presence in the silent power of prayer, in the wisdom of the Scripture, the nourishment of the Eucharist, the beauty of the liturgy, and in all his holy people gathered round you to help you.

I join my voice to the ancient hymn of the early Church:

May the angels lead her into Paradise.
May the martyrs come and welcome her on her way
And lead her into the holy city, Jerusalem.
May the choirs of angels welcome her.
And with Lazarus, who once was poor,
May she have everlasting life. Amen.

I close with the traditional prayer which we Brothers have prayed for over three hundred years:
Live Jesus in our hearts--Forever.

With sympathy and promise of prayers,
Your Brother,

Kim Bursner
