I would like to thank everyone that has been there for mom throughout her battle. She was an inspiration to me in the way she handled herself, in the way she fought back and I have never been prouder of anyone in my left. She didn't lose the battle to cancer she didn't lose her determination and she didn't give up.
On September 8th in Fairmount Park, we will be walking in the National Ovarian Cancer Conference Break the Silence Walk In her Memory. We will proudly be walking with Bert and Bernice's Buddies from Temple, an amazing group of people. For more information on how you can honor Bert's memory and make a difference, please message me or go to http://ow.ly/a9c50

dear kahuila family,

i am so sorry for your loss, bert was the nicest person i have ever known, to me, she was my best friend, i am sure many people felt the same way about her...easy going & never an unkind word did she have for anyone. if there ever was a time to say, " this is so unfair" it is now, she was taken from us much too soon, the last years were rough, my guess, God said "enough, time to come home," i cannot even fully express how much i miss her already, bert remains in my thoughts and prayers as well as the family.....

Sam, Samuel Jr., Susan, Lisa and Lily,

I am so sorry to hear about Bertha. I have known her for almost my entire life and it will be hard to accept that she is gone. I know the past few years have been difficult and i am thankful she was able to have a little more time with all of you, especially for Lily to know her. She is now free from any ailments or obstacles of this world. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Sam, Sam,Susan,Lisa & Lily, I know how you all feel and the pain in your heart's, but now Bertha will not have any more pain and will not suffer any more. She was a very nice woman, and I will never forget the days we shared for our treatments, I never told her how much she helped me by talking about her treatments and mine it made me feel so much better to talk to someone who was going threw the same thing I was. Bertha I will never forget you, and one day we will all meet again in a much better place with no pain or suffering. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Love always Jackie

Dear Sam SR, Sam JR, Susan, Lisa and Lily
I am so sorry that your Wife, Mom, Grandmom, and Greatgrandmom, has been taken away so soon. But just think how long she fought and now she is not in any pain and she will no longer suffer, may she rest in peace, and look down on all of you until you are all back together again in a much better place. Just remember that you now have a new and brighter star in the sky. To my cousin Bertha you will be sadly missed and I will never forget the times we sat in the same room for our treatments I love you and I will see you again one day. Love Always Jackie

Uncle Sam, Sam, Sue, Lisa & Lily,
I'm having trouble finding the words, because I can't believe that she's truly gone. She was such a great woman and was so brave in her battle. And without a doubt she loved all of you so much. May she now find the rest and peace that she so greatly deserves.
Love, Colleen, Derek & Liam

MEMORY LANE X ? X ? X ? X
There is a place in every heart,
They call it Memory Lane,
Where thoughts of loved ones lost
Forever will remain.

God made this special place
When He first created man,
For He knew it would be needed,
As part of our life's plan.

He knew when loved ones left us,
We'd need some time to heal,
To come to terms with sorrow
And the loneliness we'd feel.

So when you lose a loved one
And your life is filled with pain,
The comfort of their presence
Will be found in Memory Lane.

Sending love to you all xx
