RICHARD SOLO Obituary

SOLO
RICHARD DAVID, a longtime Phila. resident and attorney, died March 10, 2012, at Bethesda Hospital on Boynton Beach FL. He was 89 years old.
Born and raised in Phila., Mr. Solo graduated from Harvard College in 1943. After serving in the European Theater during World War II, he married Joyce Rubenstein, whom he had met when she was a freshman at Wellesley College, he a sophomore at Harvard. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1948 and moved back to Phila., where he practiced law for 38 years, first as an Assistant City Solicitor and later in private practice, specializing in the field of eminent domain. He retired in 1986 and moved to Sarasota and later Boynton Beach FL, where he resided for all but two of the next 26 years.
He is survived by his children and children-in-law, Harry and Lynn Solo of Mankato MN, Eleanor Solo of New York City and Sally Solo and James Aley of Montclair NJ; by grand-children, Aaron Solo, Leah Solo, Lucy Aley and David Aley; and by his brother, Stanley A. Solo of Phila. Funeral Services were held at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach on Friday, March 16th.
