As a fellow member of the Catholic Whistleblowers, I extend my deepest sympathy to Sr. Maureen's family. She was a courageous warrior in the fight to protect children from abuse and will be greatly missed by all.
I am sure she will keep our cause in her prayers in the heavenly kingdom.

A light will always shine in my memory lanes of the "battle grounds" we fought together and the friendship between us.

Sr. Maureen Turlish was a warrior in the movement to protect children and gain justice for those who were harmed. She spoke truth to power and never wavered. She now rests in the peace she wanted for all victims. I was proud to call her a fellow whistleblower.

My condolences to the family of Sister Maureen Turlish. It was an honor to have met and known her. She was a brilliant, witty and tenacious woman who I greatly admired. I want to express my gratitude for all Sister Maureen did to speak the truth among a handful of courageous people within religious orders in exposing criminal conduct in the Catholic Church. Bearing witness to the truth is the highest of all callings. Her advocacy made such a difference to so many wounded people. May Sister Maureen rest in peace. Her star will no doubt shine brightly in the heavens and she will never be forgotten by her family, community or the many people she helped.
