D'ALESSANDRO Beloved husband of the late Madeline (nee Sorrentino), father of Dominic (Michaelina), Rosemary Keefe (Albert) and Marian Walsh (Kevin). Loving grandfather of Gina Catrambone (David), Dominic J. D'Alessandro III (Jennifer), Stephen Keefe, Amy Keefe, James Hamilton (Heather) and Thomas Hamilton. Great-Pop to David and Emma Catrambone, Sarah D'Alessandro, Douglas Huber, and James and Daniel Hamilton. Also survived by his sister, Anna Windle, sisters-in-law, Rose Sorrentino and Carmella Sorrentino and many nieces and nephews.
Nick was a graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic Boys High School, Class of 1934, and was a long-time union official for Cement Masons' Local 592. He enjoyed family and friends, good conversation, story-telling and red wine.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Sunday evening, 6-8 P.M. at the D'ANJOLELL MEMORIAL HOME OF BROOMALL, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008 and Monday morning 9:15-10:15 A.M. at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nick's memory may be made to Willow Tree Hospice, 616 E. Cypress St., Kennett Square, PA 19348 or Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, 150 Monument Road, #402, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.

We were fortunate to meet Nick when Marian married my brother. I remember his warmth, humor and wit when we talked at the wedding. I wish we had met him sooner but we were very lucky to have known him. He was a wonderful man and we were privileged to know him.
