BUSACCA


JOSEPH F. Attorney, 62. Joseph F. Busacca, a trial attorney who practiced law in Philadelphia for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1995, died on December 8, 2004 at his home in Vero Beach, FL, after a brief illness. Mr. Busacca was born in Philadelphia where his family owned and operated Wharton Lumber & Millwork Company and thereafter resided most of his life in Delaware County. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy and graduated from Villanova University in 1962. He then attended Villanova University School of Law where he earned his degree in 1965. He concentrated his civil litigation practice in personal injury matters and specialized in medical cases as he developed a keen acumen for law and medicine. Mr. Busacca tried dozens of jury trials to verdict throughout his career and being in the courtroom was his passion. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Busacca enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting and more recently dedicated his recreation to competitive trap shooting which he enjoyed with his wife, Michele (nee Ciquero.) In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his brother, Charles Busacca, his sister Frances Moody and two daughters, Lisa Furey of Wayne, PA and Joanne Swayze of Media, PA and four grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on December 30, 2004 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Parish at 100 Willow Bend Road, Marlton, NJ. Memorial donations in memory of Joseph Busacca may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
