Winifred Moore Obituary

Winifred W. Moore PORTSMOUTH - Winifred Wrenn Moore, 92, of Morris Street, passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 in her residence. A native of Brunswick County, Virginia, she was owner of the Cradock Fabric and Yarn Shop in Afton Square and later retired as a TV hostess from Portsmouth General Hospital after 18 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howell A. Moore. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara M. Curling and husband Luther of Chesapeake and Sandra M. Quinn and husband Dennis of Suffolk; three sisters, Elsie Clarke and Marjorie Sheppard, both of Portsmouth and Christine Ferguson of Emporia; a brother, Harless Wrenn of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren, Douglas and Donna Varner and Dawn Provost; and two great-grandchildren, Ellie and Gracie Provost. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
