Fred Deuel Obituary

Fred L. Deuel VIRGINIA BEACH - Fred L. Deuel, 78, went home to heaven June 21, 2010 in Norfolk. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard. In retirement, he worked part time for GLO Auto Parts. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy W. Deuel; a son, David L. Deuel and his wife Dee of Norfolk; daughters, Sheryl A. Legere and her husband Al of Chesapeake and Christi Tabor and her husband Billy of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach. A celebration of Fred's life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 5350 Providence Road, Virginia Beach, with Pastor Mark Nieting officiating. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Kempsville Rescue Squad (www.kvrs.org) or CHKD (www.chkd.org/giving). Online condolences may be made at www.familychoicefunerals.com.
