Evelyn Charlton Obituary
Virginia Beach - Evelyn W. Charlton, 88, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014.
Born in Wheeling, WV, she was preceded in death in 1991 by her beloved husband, Robert B. Charlton. She was a member of Old Donation Episcopal Church and was a volunteer at Sentara Bayside Hospital.
Left to cherish Evelyn's memory are her children, Linda Morris (Ron), Twila Leavitt (Pete), Robert B. Charlton II (Dawn) and Debra Wingfield; seven grandchildren, Amy, Rachel, Andrew, Ben, Harry, Maggie and Julia; seven great-grandchildren, Laura, Brenna, Emma, MacKenzie, Addison, Cameran and Evelyn; two sisters, June and Jeannine and a brother, North.
The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel on Sunday, Jan. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at Old Donation Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV through Kepner Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Old Donation Episcopal Church, Virginia Beach, VA.
