As her obituary says, Debbie was a native of Timonium, Maryland. What her way too modest obituary doesn't say is that she has many friends and relatives there who knew and loved her. She was a student at Towson Town Junior High, Ridgley Junior-Dulaney Senior High, and a graduate of the then-new Dulaney Sr High School Class of 1968. Debbie was very special and will be missed.
To her family, you must know that Debbie is remembered and loved by many. Her memory lives on in Maryland and well beyond.
Brian, what you say about your Mom is a true and lasting tribute. I know she is proud. She is with you.

Although I never got the chance to meet Debbie, I know that she must have been a great woman who will be dearly missed. I have known Brian only for a short time, but can tell how great a person he is which tells me the character and person Debbie was. She will be missed. She will always be looking down on her family and will never be forgotten.

Dear Family of Debby:
We, here at Hampton Health Department, had the priviledge and the honor to have known your wife, your mother, your grandmother, your aunt, your sister and your best friend and loved one, for just a little while. During the short time she worked here at the Hampton Health Department, we got to know Debby through her department newsletter and the kindness and friendliness she displayed towards her fellow co-workers. She was a pleasant person to sit and talk with. She was a fair and honest woman and I found her to be an easy person to converse with. She did not let her illness get in the way of her job and she displayed such courage and dignity when she came to work for the last time and worked for a few days. We could see the pain and the struggle she was having, but you know what, she never complained. We would walk pass her door and she would always speak. She was the type of person, if she came into your life, even for a little while, that you remembered with a smile on your face. We will truly miss her presence here at the health department, but she left her footprints on our hearts and we got a chance to journey with her for a moment and for that we are most grateful. May each and everyone of you know that others care and share your pain and your loss. Always keep her memory alive, because she lived her life to the fullest. Mr. Rorrer, your wife left behind your children and your grandchildren to give you comfort in the days ahead. Our sincere condolences and sympathy goes out to you and your family. May God continue to keep his arms around each of you as you go through this period of grief and loss.

To the Family,
I am so sad to learn of the passing of Debby. She supervised me when she worked at Chesapeake Health Dept. I retired before she left CHD and have often thought of her. Debby had the rare gift of being a wonderful supervisor/manager and at the same time being a good friend. She was quite a poet and had a great sense of humor. I admired her so much and she was loved by everyone who knew her. I could go on and on. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

My mother was a great person. She was always to put everyone else first before herself. She was very kind, caring, and compassionate. She was a good listener and motivator as well as an excellent problem solver. She would always look on the bright side of things and gave strength to all of those around her. She was an amazing mother and wife to her family. She will be deeply missed. Her spirit will live on in the lives and souls of those people she touched throughout her life. Mom, we all miss and love you so much. -BCR
