Doris Duffey Obituary

Doris Ann Duffey NORFOLK - Doris Ann Duffey, 88, died March 17, 2010 in a local hospital. A native of Hebron, Neb., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Georgia Mae McGovern and the widow of Nelson E. Duffey. Mrs. Duffey was a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Norfolk. She is survived by her children, Terrence E. Duffey and his wife Margaret of Virginia Beach, Thomas O. Duffey and his wife Jane of Norfolk and Margaret Duffey Corkery and her husband Patrick of Littleton, Colo.; her sisters, Mary Louise Wiedel and Katherine Roberta Diaz; her brother, Terrence John McGovern; seven grandchildren, Theresa, Thomas, Laura, Matthew, Martha, Kathleen and Paul; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 1, at 1 p.m. with Father Brian Rafferty officiating. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P.O. Box 65039, Dallas, TX 75265.
