My family had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Word when she was my grandmother's roommate at Nansemond Pointe. We all thought highly of her and are sorry to hear of her passing.

Mrs. Word was my second grade teacher in Suffolk in 1965. She was a nice lady and a very good teacher.

As a lifelong member of East End, I have very fond memories of Mrs. Word. She was one of the sweetest ladies you could ever have the pleasure of knowing. I am so blessed to have known her. Heaven truly has an angel now.
