Alfred Horton Obituary

Alfred G. Horton CHESAPEAKE - Alfred Guiley Horton, 90, of Anne Avenue, passed away at his residence Oct. 1, 2010. Born in Eure, N.C., to the late James and Lizzie Perry Horton, he served his country in the United States Army Air Corps, retired with the Norfolk Naval Station, was a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church and also the Chesapeake Shrine Temple. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Toler Horton; daughters, Judy Belcher and her husband Ron, Debbie Collins and her husband George; three grandchildren, Stephanie Austin, Billy Collins and Amber Smith; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Please visit his "Book of Memories" at www.grahamfuneralhome.com to leave a note to the family. Mary, we are so sorry for your loss. We have always thought a lot of
you and Stutter. We have a lot of good memories through the years
