Amado Dela Cruz Obituary

Amado Dela Cruz NORFOLK - Amado Dela Cruz, 70, passed away June 5, 2010, in Norfolk. He was born in the Philippines. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Amado is survived by his wife of 42 years, Iluminada Dela Cruz; three daughters, Merlina Garcia and husband Arthur, Amalia Cortez and husband Joel, Ona Figueroa and husband Gerald; three sons, Alex, Demie and wife Kennie and Darwin Dela Cruz; and nine grandchildren. We love you dad and God bless you. A funeral will be held Saturday, June 12, at 10:30 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, with the Rev. Venancio Balarote Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday and Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. with a Christian wake Thursday at 6 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Leo Manalo.
