I was in the navy stationed in Norfolk when I met Mr. Gould. I only talked with a few times at the store and I played one gig with him, but his influence has been with me ever since. I wound up making the navy a career thanks to his words of wisdom. Thank you, Benny. Rest easy.

For years I went to Dances where Benny Gould was the band leader. He was a fine man, a good musician and performer, and he will be missed. My condolences to his family.
