Charles Harvey Obituary

Charles R. Harvey SUFFOLK - Charles Ray Harvey, 78, went to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 1, 2010. Charles was born in Hendersonville, N.C., but lived most of his life in Portsmouth. Through his life, Charles was always struck by God's grace and provision and was grateful to the end. Charles was a U.S. Navy, Korean War veteran. He retired from Camp-A-Rama Trailer Sales in Chesapeake. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Bonnie L. and Launa J. Harvey; two brothers, Robert L. and Jack D. Harvey. He is survived by a son, Dackery Harvey and wife Lisa; a daughter, Lanie James and husband Bobby; a son, Jeremy Harvey and wife Linda; brother, Allen R. Harvey and wife, Marylynn; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Loving Funeral Home, Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. A service will be conducted by the Rev. Cary Borkert Thursday at 11 a.m. in Loving Funeral Home Chapel, Churchland.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or online at www.DAV.org.  Online condolences may be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com

I am so sad to hear of Charlie passing. He was a very special person and will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. I know we all have a new angel looking over us all. Love always Charlie and prayers to Harvey family.
