Clarence Herring Obituary

Clarence E. Herring PORTSMOUTH - Clarence E. Herring, 68, of the 600 block of Dunedin Road, died June 4, 2010 in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. Born in Little Washington, N.C., he attended Portsmouth public schools. He was predeceased by mother, Sarah E. Herring; father, Walter Herring; three brothers, David Moore, William Herring and John Herring. Survivors include two sisters, Margaret Mason, East Brunswick, N.J., and Carolyn Powell (Archie), Portsmouth; two brothers, James Herring, Philadelphia and Warren Herring (Shiquala), Edison, N.J.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and special uncle, James Gibbs. A funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Fisher Funeral Home Chapel, 1520 Effingham St., Portsmouth, with the Rev. Warren Amlet officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin today at noon. The family will be at 1403 Roosevelt Blvd.

I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU CLARENCE. YOU HAVE BEEN APART OF MY KIDS AND I LIFE FOR 12 YEARS. MY CHILDREN WILL MISS YOU. YOU NEVER TOLD ME WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH YOUR HEALTH EVEN WHEN I ASKED.
