Cynthia Brimberry Obituary

Cynthia Ann Brimberry FRANKLIN - Cynthia Ann Brimberry passed away April 13, 2010 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was born Jan. 25, 1962 at the Naval Air Station, Quonset Point, R.I. As the daughter of a career naval officer, she lived in many different locations during her youth before settling in Denton, Texas where she resided with her husband and family for many years before moving to Franklin seven years ago. Cindy is survived by her father and stepmother, Herbert and Sophia Taylor of Ivor; her mother, Mary Sue Taylor of Georgetown, Texas; her husband of 29 years, Billy Brimberry of Franklin; four children, William "Will" Brimberry and Christopher "Chris" Brimberry, both of Franklin, Kimberly "Kim" Brimberry of Denton, Texas, and Nichole Brimberry of Franklin. She is also survived by three brothers and one sister, Jay Taylor and Kenneth Taylor, both of Georgetown, Texas, Donald Taylor of Dallas, and Sandra Spencer of McKinney, Texas. Cindy is also survived by, and would want us to mention, her Aunt Lou and Uncle Rob of Lewisville, Texas, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by one brother, Allen Wayne Taylor. As an adult, Cindy worked off and on for many years as a secretary, stenographer, bookkeeper, and office manager. She loved all kinds of music but was partial to country music based on her adopted state of Texas. In addition to music she loved dancing, camping, fishing, and swimming and always enjoyed a day on the beach. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter who loved helping others. In addition to her loving family, she leaves behind many, many friends and relations, some of who have traveled thousands of miles to be with her during her last days on earth. Two very close friends of 18 years, Bo and Sandra Barr of Brownwood, Texas, have been here to support Cindy and her family in her time of need. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 16, at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of one's choice. www. wrightfuneralhome.org.
