Dear Mrs. Lamkin, Margaret, Beth and Gordon,
I was saddened to read of Mr. Lamkin's passing. I remember, as if it were yesterday, seeing and talking with him around the ball field. Even after almost 40 years, I remember his kindness and his love for the game and it's players. I pray your love and faith will help you through these tough times.

Harmie,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am one of Billy Hilling's brothers, and also grew up in the Shipyard apartments and went to Stonewall Jackson School. I can still hear Mr. Lamkin calling Pop and Bill at the Shipyard apartments to come home for dinner.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Harmie and the entire Lamkin family. Pop and I worked together for years on the board for Youth for Christ. I admired and respected him as he was such a wonderful Christian gentleman.

We are all saddened by the passing of Pop, yet we celebrate his homegoing into the next dimension of his eternal life. Pop was a true gentle-man in the fullest sense. He will be missed by all who has the pleasure of knowing him. I met Pop at the Langley Men's Shop and our friendship started there. It seened that whenever I attended a Christian event, Pop would be there. He truly lived his faith. I pray that God will be very close to all of you this day and and on, and on. It has been a blessing to have known this fellow believer.
