Helen Lowry Obituary

Helen D. Lowry PORTSMOUTH - Helen Dove Lowry, 86, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord Thursday Dec. 2, 2010. She was a native of Blacksburg, Va., and she was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Lowry was the widow of the late Carl J. Lowry. She is survived by her four children, Martha Boone and her husband Charles, Carl P. Lowry and his wife Joni, Trina Woolard and her husband Jimmy, Donna Dougherty and her husband Robert; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, the Rev. Claude Dove. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, by the Rev. Genesis Marcum with burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. and online condolences may be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com.
