Jack was a kind & generous man. He was a friend to everyone & was always upbeat & full of life.
The neighborhood at Arrowhead won't be the same without him. We miss the times when we would hear "neighbor, you home?" just before he appeared in the house to share tomatoes or potatoes or just come for a visit. He surprised us the first time when he did it but after that it just seemed natural for him to appear in the house unannounced & that was one of the many things we loved about him. He always had a smile on his face, was always upbeat & loved life to the fullest. The world would be a much better place if it contained more "Jack Strickland's".
The service Saturday was very nice. I wish we could have joined you after the service but we had a prior commitment.
Our sincere condolences to the Strickland family.
To Jack , "congratulations on a life well lived". We'll miss you.

My wife and I have known Jack for over thirty years. He was one who always had some vegetable or fruit to share with you. He was a good neighbor and we will sorely miss seeing Jack. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his entire family.

Having spent the last forty plus years knowing Jack, I wish all of his family my deepest sympathy. I am sure he and Hilda are in heaven sitting around a table playing Aggrivation and laughing till it hurts. Even though my family no longer has the home two doors from Jack, I just wanted Woody and the rest of the family to know how much I have and will miss seeing and talking to him. Joey Stone
