James Lovin Obituary

James W. Lovin Sr. CHESAPEAKE - James Wilbur Lovin Sr., 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, June 4, 2010 in his home. Mr. Lovin, a native of Newbern, N.C., was the son of the late James and Beatrice Skinner Lovin. He was a member of Living Waters Christian Fellowship, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a retired store manager with Atlantic Viewtronics in Virginia Beach. Survivors include his wife, Inez Sandeford Lovin; a son, Martin W. Lovin of Illinois; four stepsons, Russell Hayden, Bruce Hayden, Kenneth Hayden, and Richard Hayden; four stepdaughters, Linda Zabala, Doris Clemente, Kathy Guster, Siobhan Hayden; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Living Waters Christian Fellowship Church, 2700 Gum Road, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Nelson Fields. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with U.S. Navy honors. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA 23435.
