He was the only father I ever knew. The big guy who always had a kid on each foot and one in each arm, shuffling across the floor laughing. He taught us to make kites with the "funny papers" and wooden sticks, then he taught us how to fly them. He was strict but generous and had a wonderful sense of humor. I know he has been welcomed home with open arms and I will miss him.

Even though you are where you wanted to be, with Mom in Heaven, my heart aches and we miss you terribly. You were the best Dad and buddy I could ever have had.
