Joseph Gaul Obituary

Joseph M. Gaul NORFOLK - Joseph M. Gaul, 58, passed away Dec. 4, 2010 at his home. Joseph was born Feb. 21, 1952 to the late Joseph F. Gaul Jr. and Matilda M. Gaul in Philadelphia. Joseph is survived by his wife, Margaret Gaul; son, Joseph and wife Kristen of Crofton, Md.; son, John and fiancée Sara Barbarisi of Norfolk; brother, William Gaul of Townsend, Tenn.; sisters, Diane Cancino of Pensacola, Fla., Mary Turner of Norfolk, Teresa M. Pearson of Virginia Beach, and Veronica A. Swayne of Great Falls; a host of nieces and nephews, and his faithful dog Sugar. Joseph was a Vietnam veteran having served with the United States Marines Corps from 1969 to 1971. Joseph was employed by Delphinus Engineering from 1997 up until his passing. Joseph enjoyed fishing, moon pies, and the New Orleans Saints. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, 8464 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk. After the service the family will receive guests at the home of John Gaul. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's name to the American Red Cross.
