Leola Hudgins Obituary

Leola Holt Hudgins VIRGINIA BEACH - Leola Holt Hudgins, 97, of the 5600 block of Hearth Circle passed away Nov. 29, 2010 at her home. She was born July 18, 1913 to the late Charlie and Georgia Holt in Norfolk. Leola retired from Lockhart's Restaurant and was a member of United House of Prayer for All People where she served as an usher. Leola was predeceased by her husband, Winston Henry Hudgins Sr.; three grandchildren; two children and one sister. She is survived by four daughters, Violetta Brown, Mildred Owens (John), Audrey Felton and Myra Bracey; two sons, Earl Hudgins (Barbara) and Clarence Hudgins (Betty); 30 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at noon Monday in United House of Prayer, 1206 Church St. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today in Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Ave. Chapel. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
