With life so short Grandma made everyday count. Always had love in her heart. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew her. But now she is with the rest of our family. And still be with the ones she left behind , always in our hearts. Love Tammy

Janet, I am so sorry for your most recent loss. Your mother was one of the kindest, most loving and caring people I have ever had the pleasure of meetng. Not sure of the year we met, but it was when you moved to Pembroke, and she came to a Civic League meeting, and we became friends. I remember her tireless efforts to keep the community group functioning. She was an advocate of quality care for the elderly, and worked hard to get an LPN license so she could extend that care to those in nursing homes. She also used her talents as a hair-dresser to make sure the ladies at the facility looked their best. She was a great care giver for her uncle and mother in Florida - moving there to be of assistance to them both. She also assisted me w/my mother in law, who lived in North Miami Beach; helping me with information about nursing facilities in that area. When she was ready to come back to the Va. Beach area to be near you and the grandchildren, she also came to give assistance once again, to me, as a "baby-sitter" to my 96 year old mother, who could no longer live alone in NJ. My mother loved being with Marie during the daytime. "Grace" should have been her middle name at least, she did everything she could to help those near and dear to her. She was a class act! and can never be duplicated. It is with heartfelt gratitude that I say good-bye, to a very dear friend. My only regret is that I was not able to spend more time with her these last few years, because I was not in Virginia Beach very much. I wish I could have been able to spend more time with her. She will be missed by those left behind, you and her grandchildren and the great-grandchildren who will never know her love; her extended family, her long time friends, her neighbors and her most recent care-givers. She has surely been welcomed into the loving arms of God, and her sons, mother and other family members who have left this earth and were awaiting her arrival.
May she rest in peace, and enjoy the rewards of Heaven.

Janet, many years ago my parents Jean and David Hylton were friends with your parents starting when they lived in the trailor park on Little Creek Road in Norfolk, than later when they bought the house off Little Creek.
