I knew Mark for a long time - first thru text and then thru actually meeting. I lost touch with him, and have looked for him, only to find the thing I had feared had happened....he was gone and I didn't even know. I miss him and think about him all the time. He was so important to me and had such an impact on my life. I can't even say how I feel knowing he's gone and I can't call him and hear him "talk my ear off." I will always have a special place in my heart for you, Mark. I love you - K

Mark and I were the best of friends during our school years together, but we lost touch after he enlisted in the military. I have always treasured those childhood memories and our avid fascination with Starsky and Hutch during the 6th grade. Although it has been two years now, I just learned of Mark's passing today and I am very saddened by the news and pray for his family's continued strength and endurance in pursuing life as I know Mark did.
Peace be with you old friend.

I would like to give my condolences to Mark's family, friends, loved ones,& 501st Legion brothers & sisters. I'm have never met Mark, but non the less I'm a fellow Sithlord in the 501st Legion. It always saddens me to hear the loss of a loved one reguardless of the relationship to others. We can treasure their memories that they have left with everyone as a good way to remember them by. I for one just as Mark did love seeing the smiles on kids faces young & old(adults who are kids at heart) when they see the Legion in costume raising awareness for one cause or another. Mark was such a good friend in high school, always goofing around and giving advice. He was such a great photographer, not too long ago he posted some of the old photos he took in high school on facebook that he said he found and wanted to show everyone. You will be missed Mark, RIP!!

At JYHS, Mark was a good drummer, a good photographer, and a good friend, who always kept us laughing! May it comfort you to know that time will pass, and the pain will lessen, but our memories of Mark will be forever present.

I met Mark some 5 years ago through Star Wars fan clubs. He was a great guy and very passionate about his favorite character, Darth Vader. Just so that everyone knows, as a member of the 501st Legion and FanForce clubs, he volunteered his time, energy, and costuming talent and brought the magic of Star Wars to a number of local charitable events for Make-A-Wish Foundation, Toys-For-Tots, March of Dimes, ACCESS Aids Care, Alzheimer's Association, Special Olympics, Childhood Literacy, and Diabetes Association. God Bless, Mark.
